Vestas Wind Systems is setting up a 252 MW wind power project at Thattaparai in Tuticorin district of Tamil Nadu. The project is being developed on behalf of Vivid Solaire Energy- a subsidiary of Engie which awarded the EPC contract to Vestas. The project involves setting up of installation and commissioning of 126 V120-2.0 MW turbines, as well as the project’s civil and electrical work.
The turbines will be serviced by Vestas under a 10-year full scope service agreement. The delivery of turbine under the order is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2019, while commissioning is expected in the third and fourth quarter of 2019.
