With the best sites which has wind speed of 10-8.5 meter per sec has been taken up over the decade, new technology has to be in place to harness wind power potential at low air speeds. To overcome it, Gamesa and Suzlon have launched G-114 and S-111 which comes at a height of 90 to 120 meters. They can generate 29% more power compared to existing technology. Regen Powertech is also launching its model with a hub height of 115 meters.
